The Sunday Setup That Keeps Me Sane
There’s something about Sunday night that makes the week ahead feel heavier—or lighter—depending on how you approach it.
Over the years, I’ve found that a few simple habits on Sundays can completely change how I move through the week. They help me feel clear, calm, and in control—even when the schedule gets full.
This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about starting the week already on your side.
Why I Stopped Leaving Monday to Chance
For a long time, my weeks started in survival mode. I’d wake up on Monday feeling behind—scrambling to meal prep, answer texts, sort through emails, and figure out what needed to happen first.
It wasn’t a lack of ambition. It was a lack of systems.
Once I started treating Sunday as the start line—not Monday—everything shifted.
I had more space, more energy, and more confidence to lead both at work and in life.
My 3-Part Sunday Setup
1. Mind: Get Clear
Brain-dump everything on your mind
Review your calendar for the week
Set 1–3 priorities (not 10)
This clears the mental fog and helps me focus on what really matters.
2. Space: Reset Your Environment
Tidy up key areas (desk, kitchen, bedroom)
Prep anything that helps Monday go smoother—outfits, meals, bags
Light a candle, play music, make it feel good
Your environment is a reflection of your mind. When it’s reset, you feel reset too.
3. Schedule: Set the Tone
Block time for deep work, rest, and non-negotiables
Protect at least one hour each day just for you
Use tools you trust (planner, digital calendar, reminders)
Structure isn’t limiting—it’s freeing. It gives you a foundation to build a better week.
Try This: Create Your Own Sunday Flow
Your setup doesn’t need to look like mine. But I recommend starting small:
What 1 thing would make Monday easier?
What habit would help you feel more like you?
What can you put in place now to avoid the chaos later?
Intentional weeks start with intentional Sundays.
